Christoph Niemann was born in Waiblingen, Germany in 1970. After his studies at the Stuttgart Academy of Fine Arts, he moved to New York City where he has been working as an illustrator, animator, and graphic designer since 1997. His work has appeared on the covers of The New Yorker, Atlantic Monthly,
The New York Times magazine and American Illustration. Christoph’s illustrations have garnered numerous awards from the American Institute of Graphic Arts, the Society of Publication Designers, the Art Directors Club and American Illustration. Christoph is the author and illustrator of several books, among them ‘100% EVIL’ (with Nicholas Blechman) and the acclaimed children’s book, ‘The Police Cloud’.
Christoph is a member of the Alliance Graphique Internationale. Christoph lives in Brooklyn, with his wife Lisa and three sons, Arthur, Gustav and Fritz.
