Peter was born in Cyprus in 1949 but has lived in Australia since 1953. He is a photomonteur, filmmaker, writer, photographer and book artist. He has exhibited widely in both solo and group shows. His small-press books include ‘Journey Of A Wise Electron And Other Stories’, ‘Three Cheers for Civilisation’, ‘The Harbour Breathes’ (with Anna Couani) and ‘Industrial Woman’ (with Vivienne Mehes and Jas Duke). His photographs and limited edition artist’s books such as ‘Harmed Circle’, ‘…From the Secret Life of Statues’, ‘Feather and Prey’ and ‘The Look of Love’ (with Scott McQuire) have been acquired by private collectors, libraries and galleries.

His film ‘The Occupant’ (with Michael Karis
and Ettore Siracusa) and the video ‘Thug’ (with Spiros Economopoulos and Christos Tsiolkas) have been screened extensively. His latest work, ‘A Gardener At Midnight: Travels In The Holy Land’ has been filmed by the Australian Broadcasting Commission as a two-part documentary.
