Over our history more than 440 of the world leaders of design have volunteered their time to share their personal stories and experiences with agIdeas.
Each year 40 leading Melbourne studios support the program by opening their doors to emerging designers to gain insights into the design industry.
Since its inception, agIdeas has been made possible by the commitment of dedicated design students from the major design colleges and universities in Melbourne and representatives from interstate and overseas. Committee members are interviewed and selected from their peers based on their ability to work under pressure, in a demanding role that requires a high degree of professionalism and motivation. The committee provides a core group of students each year with an exceptional opportunity to develop the skills necessary to stage a world class event. These young people act as ambassadors to visiting designers and establish networks around the world from which many have gained employment and work experience.
In 2004 we established an alumni for these three groups to remain in contact, since then the Alumni has been steadily growing with members covering all corners of the world. We believe this will be an important network into the future. As part of the agIdeas International Design Week we hold a networking cocktail party for the agIdeas Alumni.
